Conclusion

13:05 Run. Run. Run. Run. Doesn't look like our defense can stop WV unless they stop themselves.

11:30 Camera shows Devine in the foreground and Dan Hawkins in the background. Does this make anyone feel confident? WV inside the 20.

9:46 Devine can pick up 5 yards before the D even reacts.

9:17 28-17. Thats more like it. WV still has time to cover.

6:34 Simas with the first catch of his career. For a short gain!

6:05 4th and forever. Not looking good for Hawkins. Buffs got a lot of breaks and still never looked like they had a chance to win.

6:04 And a missed 57 yard field goal. Gotta question Dan Hawkins' decision making.

5:36 Devine has a career best 220 yards and a 10 yard per carry average. I can't wait until the Buffs play teams that are actually good.

3:27 Is it even possible for the Buffs to score in that much time? The announcers are happy the Buffs avoided "a national embarrassment". I knew there was a silver lining.

3:03 No mention of Hawkins' job security all night. How is that possible?

2:47 Game over. This time for real.

2:00 How do you let someone run up the middle untouched in the red zone? Embarrassing. Hawkins finally breaking out a sweat.

1:18 I love how Dan Hawkins is always trying to score in garbage time. He's more animated now than when the game was close.

:39 Come on Dan Hawkins! Cover that spread!

:30 "Some people might say this is meaningless, but it's not. Not to this team." Your CU BUFFS!

:03 YEAH, TOUCHDOWN SIMAS!!! WOOOOOOO!!! SPREAD = COVERED! YOU SHOWED 'EM HAWKINS, NEVER PICK AGAINST THE BUFFS!

:03 Onside kick. Really Hawkins? Are you serious??

35-24. Gut-wrenching cover.

  1. This is great commentary and I love what you're doing. I also can't believe how much scoring is attempted at garbage time. He almost got his kid's head taken off in the Toledo game by keeping him in so late. I don't understand the thought process there. Get your backups some reps! I thought he was a smart fellow but this year I don't think so much.

  2. Can you imagine whats going to happen at Texas?! They've got a week off and the Buffs have a long, slow weekend to absorb their situation. This is an incredibly slow team. Rodney is average in speed which is why he seems so fast with the rest of the team. Scary numbers facing CU in conference play... Can you say 1-11? I don't see a win anywhere in the near future. Go Rockies!

  3. Great efforts tonight chronicling the sad efforts of our Buffs. This game was not as close as the score would indicate, and the gifts (read: turnovers) from WVU kept this from being a blowout. Let's see, 1-3 with 8 remaining. Does Hawk Love know some math that we do not that will get us to 10 wins?

  6. Being a Boise State fan, I can only offer my condolences to CU. The best part of BSU football during the Dan Hawkins era was Coach Pete, who thankfully took over after Hawk left. Thank goodness Kellen Moore is our starting QB and not Cody. I'm sorry for the losses that have taken place and the losses soon to be realized for CU football - I've always been a fan of the Buffs. Good luck with the rest of the season.
